π Land Acknowledgment
Decolonizing the Narrative | Celebrating Global Queer Resistance
We acknowledge that the land on which we gather, known as TkarΓ³n:to or Toronto, is the traditional territory of many nations including the Wendat, the Haudenosaunee, and the Anishinaabe peoples, and the Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation.
This land is covered by Treaty 13 with the Mississaugas of the Credit and is part of the Dish With One Spoon Wampum Belt Covenant, which guides the shared care and responsibility for these lands. We are grateful to work, learn, and create meaningful change on this territory.
