Celebrating Todayโs BIPOC Changemakers
We spotlight the remarkable contributions of BIPOC activists, educators, organizers, and creators who are advancing LGBTQ+ rights in their communities. Their work challenges the harmful myth that queerness is a โWestern illnessโ and affirms that queer identities have always existed across the world.
Our Vision is
a future where:
- Decolonized histories replace colonial narratives
- LGBTQ+ people in formerly colonized nations are celebrated, safe, and empowered
- BIPOC leadership in queer liberation is recognized and amplified
- Communities reclaim their cultural histories of gender and sexual diversity

Reclaiming BIPOC Culture
Homophobia and transphobia are colonial constructs. Framing LGBTQ+ identities as a โWestern creationโ undermines how BIPOC LGBTQ+ communities connect with and celebrate their own cultures. Project PG spotlights phenomenal BIPOC music, films, documentaries, and television that amplify our voices and storiesโreminding the world that weโve always belonged, and we always will.
